I also wouldn’t be surprised if he opted for surgery mid season if things weren’t looking definitively positive. ![]() Everyone’s arm is different, this is bad news and there is a fair chance he’s done for the year but it wouldn’t be some surprising thing if he’s back in 60-90 days pitching like an ace. Yes, half the league experiences UCL issues over the season, but many that have to shut down experience setback after setback when resuming throwing, surgery becomes the “rip the bandaid off” option (see Ian). ![]()
